The Birth of a conspiracy?

On March 16th, 1751, James Madison, one of the most influential Founding Fathers of the United States, was born. Madison's contributions to American history were numerous and great. Madison played a more significant role than anyone else in designing the United States Constitution in 1787, a role which earned him the nickname "Father of the Constitution." As a leader in the first Congresses, he drafted many basic laws and was responsible for the first ten amendments to the Constitution, and thus is also known as the "Father of the Bill of Rights". As leader in the House of Representatives, Madison worked closely with President George Washington to organize the new federal government. As Thomas Jefferson's Secretary of State (1801-1809), Madison supervised the Louisiana Purchase which doubled the nation's size. He was elected the 4th President of the United States in 1809 and served until 1817 and during that time, he led the nation to war in the War of 1812 against Great Britain in order to protect America's rights, a war that started poorly but ended on a high note in 1815, after which a new spirit of nationalism swept the nation. Jack Ruby, Gerald Ford, & the shots that changed the world!

front of millions. On March 14, 1964, Jack Ruby was convicted of the murder with malice of Lee Harvey Oswald. The murder happened on live television and was viewed by millions on November 24th, 1963, only 2 days after Oswald was believed by many to be the lone shooter in the tragic assassination of President John F. Kennedy. That conclusion was also drawn by the government created Warren Commission, a group created to investigate the assassination of John F. Kennedy. As you may know, President Gerald R. Ford was the last surviving member of this commission until his death just a few months ago. Despite this conclusion by the Warren Commission, many conspiracy theories emerged almost immediately after Ruby's infamous act. Did Oswald truly act alone? Was Ruby a part of a conspiracy to silence Oswald, perhaps the greatest witness of them all? President Gerald Ford himself wrote a book profiling Lee Harvey Oswald, Jack Ruby and many other fascinating aspects of the 'day the music died'. In 2004, President Ford even wrote a direct rebuttal to the many conspiracy claims that our very own FlatSigned Press was proud to have published in the book that was to be his last.
