 I am truly proud to
inform
you about a long awaited and much deserved
honor that was recently awarded to a true
American hero, Lt. Col. Bruce Crandall and
that FlatSigned was there. On
February 27, 2007, Crandall's heroism in the
Vietnam War more than 40 years ago was
officially recognized when he was awarded the
Congressional Medal of Honor, the nation's
highest award
for military valor. It was on November 15,
1965 that the very first major battle of the
Vietnam War began, the Battle of the Ia Drang
Valley, and it was the first battle
to use helicopters to insert troops into
battle quickly. Crandall flew the lead
helicopter into the attack at Landing Zone
X-Ray and in spite of the danger, Crandall
and his wingman, Ed "Too Tall" Freeman, flew
into X-Ray more than 18 times to bring in
ammunition and helped bring out and save 70
wounded soldiers that day. President George W.
Bush praised Crandall's actions at the
ceremony and personally stated "For the
soldiers rescued, for the men who came home,
for the children they had and the lives they
made, America is in debt to Bruce Crandall.
It's a debt our nation can never really fully
repay."
Crandall's heroic actions were immortalized
in Lt Gen Hal Moore's critically acclaimed
book "We Were Soldiers Once...And Young",
which many consider THE most accurate and
detailed book ever written about the war.
In 2002, a film version based on the
book was made which starred Mel Gibson as Hal
Moore and Greg Kinnear as Crandall. We at

Jesus' Tomb "Discovered."

On February 26th, 2007,
award-winning director James Cameron made the
incredible world announcement that he, along
with his director, Simcha Jacobovici, have
documented the unearthing of the Talpiot
Tomb, which is alleged to be the tomb of
Jesus! The documentary of this historical
moment, named "The Lost Tomb of Jesus", was
broadcast on the Discovery Channel on March
4, 2007 with great controversy and interest.
This brings back again into question of the
true life of Jesus, which has been debated
